Turnbull's 2019 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a thoughtfully built blend — 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, 4% Petit Verdot, 2% Merlot, and 1% Malbec — sourced primarily from the Amoenus Vineyard in Calistoga along with the Leopoldina, Fortuna, and Turnbull Home vineyards in Oakville. Notes of dusted blackberries, plum, and cherry lead to a backdrop of toast and fleeting tobacco, while supple, creamy tannins widen the dark fruit through the mid-palate, lending a lifted, layered finish. The wine widens and rises in amplitude with real elegance and balance, showcasing the character of the excellent 2019 vintage.
