Description
Wine Spectator 92 points - A fresh and focused rose Champagne, with a satiny mousse and a subtle streak of smoke underscoring the well-knit flavors of white raspberry and wild strawberry fruit, pastry cream and candied orange zest. Drink now through 2021. -AN.November/2017 Wine Enthusiast 90 points - This soft, finely structured and salmon-hued wine has an explosive mousse. Its attractive strawberry fruit is balanced by rich acidity. Ripe, mouth-filling and softly creamy, it’s ready to drink now and has a rounded aftertaste..June/2017 Wine & Spirits 92 points - It’s easy to fall in love with Ruinart Rose, a bright raspberry essence that’s just full-on delicious. The color of the wine is a transparent wild-strawberry pink and the flavors are tight and brisk, like crunchy-fresh fraises des bois with a slightly deeper raspberry tone. A festive wine..December/2017 Vinous 92 points - (55% Pinot Noir and 45% Chardonnay; 9 g/l dosage; LAH9V): Light orange. Sharply focused red berry and tangerine scents are complicated by suggestions of allspice and cinnamon, with a hint of smokiness in the background. Sappy and minerally on the palate, offering fresh strawberry and blood orange flavors lifted by juicy acidity. Packs a serious punch but carries no excess weight and finishes stony and very long, with echoing red berry character..Josh Raynolds, January/2015 James Suckling 92 points - Strawberry and pomegranate-infused yeasty autolysis aromas with freshly baked pastry and fresh bready notes. The palate has ripe peach fruits, strawberries and some hints of pink grapefruit. Sweetness, richness and a lively acid kick. Berry pie finish. Drink now..October/2017 A fine, elegant champagne with the distinctive Ruinart taste due to a high concentration of Chardonnay grapes. A beautiful color of pinkish gold. A smooth, balanced, fruity wine with plenty of body. An ideal evening aperitif. At table the finesse of this champagne will go wonderfully with the freshness of a delicious gaspacho. Blend constructed on a base of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, mostly classified as Premiers Crus with 20 to 25% coming from wines reserved from the 2 previous years. 45% of the Chardonnay is from the Cote des Blancs and Montagne de Reims vineyards 55% of the Pinot Noir is from the Montagne de Reims and the Vallee de la Marne vineyards, 18 to 19% of which has been made into red wine Ruinart Rosé is a truly festive champagne, which is a delight to drink throughout a meal from aperitif to dessert. It will be enhanced by thin slices of fine Italian prosciutto (San Daniele, Parma, etc.). A starter of mi-cuit salmon, or salmon prepared as a Japanese "tataki”, will reveal its many facets. For a main course, it will be an admirable accompaniment for a leg of milk-fed lamb or a low temperature cooked veal fillet. At the end of the meal it will find its full expression with a berry soup enhanced with an excellent Modena balsamic vinegar.
