Planteray XO 20th Anniversary Rum (sold under the Plantation name until the brand's 2024 rebrand) is a decadent blend of well-aged Barbados rums crafted to mark two decades of the XO expression. The rum undergoes a double-maturation process, aging first in American bourbon barrels before a secondary finish in French Cognac casks, a technique that gives it unusual depth for the category. Bold aromas of coconut and dried tropical fruit open the nose, carrying through to a rich, rounded palate with a long, spicy cedar finish. The blend earned a 94-point score as a finalist in the 2023 Ultimate Spirits Challenge, recognition that reflects its standing among aged Caribbean rums.
