Planteray Panama 6 Year Rum (sold as Plantation prior to the brand's 2024 rename) is a Panamanian column-still rum distilled at the Alcoholes del Istmo distillery and aged for six years before bottling. Like the rest of the Planteray range, it follows the brand's double-maturation philosophy, resting first in the tropics before a secondary cask finish applied in France that builds extra layers of spice and fruit onto the base spirit. The result is a lighter, more approachable style than the brand's older vintage Panama releases, with enough backbone to carry a well-built rum cocktail while still working neat for newcomers to aged rum. It's a solid entry point into Panamanian rum and into the brand's broader lineup of single-origin, vintage-dated releases. 750ml.
