Planteray Panama 2008 13 Year Rum (bottled under the Plantation name prior to the brand's 2024 rename) is a single-vintage rum distilled in 2008 at Panama's Alcoholes del Istmo distillery. It spent 12 years tropically aging in ex-bourbon barrels before a one-year continental finish in French Ferrand casks, then a further seven-month rest in white Pineau des Charentes casks for added complexity. The nose is fragrant and floral, with vine flower, lilac, and lime alongside stone fruit like apricot and peach. On the palate it turns fresh and sweet, layering citrus and dried fruit over warming spice and toasted nuts. At 45% ABV and bottled from a single vintage year in limited quantity, it's a collector's pour best suited to neat sipping rather than mixing. 750ml.
