The fifth release in The Macallan's Distil Your World series, this limited-edition Highland single malt is crafted by Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell in collaboration with the Roca brothers of El Celler de Can Roca, paying tribute to the city of Paris. The nose opens with almond croissant, sweet nectarine, sandalwood, and vanilla pod, while the palate layers buttered pastry, brioche, and peach melba over toasted oak, finishing with gentle spice and warm oak. It's matured in a combination of sherry-seasoned American and European oak casks and ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in rare Cognac casks, and bottled at 47.2% ABV (94.4 proof) with no added color. The presentation case opens to a street-yellow interior featuring a gouache illustration of a Paris street by artist Cassandre Montoriol. A true collector's bottle, best savored neat and slowly.
