Green River Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is 90 proof and aged for over 5 years at their distillery in Owensboro. It has a deep amber color and is made from locally sourced corn, primarily from Daviess County. The mash bill consists of 70% corn, 21% winter rye, and 9% malted 2 and 6-row barley. The higher rye content creates a bourbon with warming spice notes on the nose and pallet. Other scents to be on the lookout for include cinnamon, dried cherry, and hints of leather. On the palate, expect flavors of cinnamon, vanilla, caramel, and chocolate mint. The finish is smooth, full-bodied, and lingering.
