Fetzer Vineyards Valley Oaks California Gewurztraminer Wine

Fetzer Gewurztraminer is crafted in an off-dry style, offering a subtle sweetness balanced by crisp acidity and vibrant varietal character. The nose delivers exotic layers of mango, peach and apricot preserves, rosewater, candied ginger and a touch of warm cinnamon spice. On the palate, a delicate sweetness offsets richly nuanced notes of cobbler peaches, orange zest and pineapple upside-down cake, a medley framed by subtly savory notes of caramelized apples, cashew nuts and pastry. A touch of Muscat lends an intriguing floral note. Harvested when grape sugars and acids achieved ideal balance in the cool Monterey AVA. Grapes from this expressive aromatic variety were whole cluster-pressed, then fermented and raised in 100% stainless steel with partial lees contact, to enhance mouthfeel.
