Blue Note Toasted is a straight bourbon whiskey from B.R. Distilling Company in Memphis, finished with toasted French oak developed over two years with Tonnellerie Radoux, a boutique cooperage in central France. Built on the same 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley mash bill as the rest of the Blue Note lineup, it's bottled at 100 proof (50% ABV) for a bold, full-flavored pour. The toasted oak finish layers in baking spice, toasted almond, Manuka honey, and roasted marshmallow over the base bourbon's sweet vanilla and caramelized sugar, with Memphis's heat and humidity helping drive extra character into the whiskey during finishing. The palate turns toward raisin, plum, and milk chocolate, finishing long with leather, molasses, and warm baking spice. Best enjoyed neat or with a single large cube to let the toasted oak open up.
