Blue Note Cherry Wood Cask Volume I Straight Bourbon

Product Highlights

Blue Note Cherry Wood Cask Volume I is a straight bourbon whiskey from B.R. Distilling Company in Memphis, finished in wild-cherry wood casks sourced from France's Jura region. Bottled at cask strength, 119.3 proof (59.7% ABV) and unfiltered, it carries a mash bill of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% malted barley. Memphis's heat and humidity are credited with pulling extra character from the cherry wood during finishing, layering baking spice, cherry cobbler, brown sugar, and toasted oak over the base bourbon. The palate brings rye spice, cinnamon, burnt caramel, and charred oak, finishing long with leather and lingering spice. This is a limited release of about 1,000 cases, so it's one to grab while it's on the shelf. Best enjoyed neat or with a single ice cube to open up the cherry wood character.
