A blended Scotch malt containing at least 10 single malts, with the signature malt coming from Islay to give top notes of sweet smoke, salt and peat. Non-chillfiltered and bottled at 46%. Nose: Lighter than expected with the peat smoke a bit ashy (chimneys anyone?), smoked kippers and some oak. The smoke is well balanced and does not overpower the malt. Palate: Green fruits like apples and pears along with chocolate and toffee with the smoke presence still in check. Finish: A continued blend of sweet smoke and savoury malt. Slightly drying.
