The Sledgehammer Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep crimson color in the glass. Aromas of blackberry, currants and spicy notes of clove and cinnamon are prominent in the wine. This Cabernet is rich and smooth with a fullbodied mouthfeel and loads of flavor on the palate. Juicy dark fruit, ripe plum and baking spice flavors are powerful. The fruit forward style of the wine is balanced with smooth tannins and notes of crushed blackberry on the long finish. Complex aromas of black cherry and notes of cinnamon and nutmeg lead to powerful flavors of plum and dark berry fruit. The wine has supple tannins and well integrated oak from barrel aging.
