Color: Deep violet-ruby red. Aroma: Very fruity with notes of plums and blackberries accompanied by intense and unmistakable notes of caramel, vanilla, and chocolate. Palate: Smooth, with ripe tannins, good structure, and very good balance. Pairings: To accompany red and white meats, pastas, game birds, and cheeses. The 2017 Reserva Merlot from Maipo has some 13% Carmenere in the blend. It fermented with selected yeasts and aged in barrel for ten months. It has a creamy personality, with some balsamic aromas, wild berries and a medium-bodied palate with a soft texture and tender mouthfeel with polished tannins. 400,000 bottles produced. It was bottled between August and September 2017.
